LendingTree Expands Charlotte Headquarters:
Doubling in Size with 314 Job Expansion

Nov. 2, 2016 – Commerce Secretary John E. Skvarla, III, and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) along with the Charlotte Chamber announced today that LendingTree, LLC, a leading online lending exchange, is expanding their corporate headquarters in Charlotte. The company will create 314 jobs over five years to double in size and invest nearly $47 million in Charlotte’s South Park community.

“North Carolina is the intersection of finance and technology, and LendingTree’s expanded headquarters campus just made that intersection even busier,” said Secretary Skvarla. “This innovative company provides valuable financial tools for U.S. consumers, and the Charlotte Region will continue to be an integral part of their success.”

LendingTree’s expansion plans include a new headquarters campus in Charlotte that will accommodate technology experts, marketing and customer service representatives among other personnel. Salaries will vary by position, with an average annual compensation of $81,857.

Founded in 1996 and established its Charlotte headquarters in 1998, LendingTree has facilitated more than 65 million loan requests. The company connects consumers with multiple lenders, banks, and credit partners who compete for business. LendingTree currently employs 287 people in North Carolina.
