HireRight, Inc. has just completed the expansion and remodel of its Charlotte office, which will accommodate up to 80 new hires. Headquartered in Irvine, California, HireRight is a leading provider of background checks, drug and health testing, and electronic Form I-9/eVerify solutions that help employers make better-informed hiring decisions. HireRight acquired Charlotte-based National Diagnostics, Inc. in 2009 and continues to grow its drug and health testing business.
NuScale Power, an Oregon-based energy company, is opening an operations and engineering center in Charlotte. NuScale is designing and commercializing a Small Modular Reactor (SMR) light water reactor nuclear power plant for applications in government and commercial sectors worldwide. The company’s new Charlotte office will be co-located with Fluor, initially housing 70 employees.
BBVA Compass announced today that it will officially establish a location in uptown Charlotte. The company’s new office, which will house loan processing operations, will be at 330 S. Tryon St., the same building as the Charlotte Chamber.
North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory announced today that Red Ventures will expand its University Research Park facility, located at 1000 Louis Rose Place, adding 580 new jobs over the next five years. Red Ventures, a marketing and sales company, opened its University City location in 2013. Red Ventures was founded in 2000 by Ric Elias and Dan Feldstein and has twice been ranked on the Inc. 500 list as one of the nation’s top 20 fastest-growing companies. The company employs more than 1,900 employees across five offices in the U.S.
Thinkgate, a leading technology and software provider for education agencies, announced today that it has moved its corporate headquarters from Atlanta to South Tryon Square located at 201 S. Tryon St. in uptown Charlotte. Thinkgate currently has more than 70 full-time employees and dozens of contractors who will occupy the 21,210-square-foot space.more»
Hendrix Business Systems, Inc. has announced plans to expand to Founders Hall in uptown Charlotte where it will locate a new 1,800-square-foot Canon Showroom, showcasing Canon’s state-of-the-art digital imaging solutions. The company anticipates an additional five jobs to be created through this expansion in addition to 10 new positions that were created in 2013 as part of Hendrix’s expansion efforts.
The Daniels Company, a subsidiary of Chinese firm Beijing Guohua Technology Group (BGTG), has purchased 6201 Fairview Road in SouthPark for its U.S. headquarters. The Charlotte office will also serve as a future operations management facility for The Daniels Company and BGTG. The Daniels Company also plans to establish a manufacturing facility of coal processing equipment in Charlotte.more»
WUKO Maschinenbau GmbH, an Austrian manufacturer of cutting, bending and seaming machines, announced today the opening of its first U.S. subsidiary, WUKO, Inc., in Charlotte, leasing 2,500 square feet for sales and distribution.
