Jabian Consulting Opens Charlotte Office

Jabian Consulting, an Atlanta-based strategic management and technology consulting firm, announced that it plans to expand its national footprint to Charlotte by adding an office in SouthPark. The company plans to create 50 new jobs over the next three years and a total of 100 new jobs over the next five years. Positions include consultants, managers and directors.

Rotech Healthcare Inc., a national leader in providing medical equipment and related products and services for home use, has located a new, 24,174-square-foot customer support center at 207 Regency Executive Park Drive, Suite 200, creating approximately 200 new jobs in Charlotte. The company has already started hiring and will continue to do so until all jobs are filled. Positions include customer support managers, customer support supervisors, patient account specialists and customer support specialists.

Octapharma AG, a Swiss independent global plasma fractionator specializing in human proteins, announced today the expansion of its U.S. subsidiary, Octapharma Plasma, Inc. Octapharma Plasma will relocate to a state-of-the-art facility in Westlake Business Park, investing $39.2 million. Construction on the facility is slated to be complete mid-2014. The Charlotte expansion strategically positions Octapharma Plasma to service the U.S. market from one central location.

Chamber Economic Development Team Wins Silver Award

The Charlotte Chamber has been named the silver medal winner in the High Performance Economic Development category for economic development organizations. The Charlotte Chamber attained this status by announcing the second-most jobs created for any organization of its size in 2012-2013. As part of Atlas Advertising’s High Performance Economic Development Benchmarking Survey, the Charlotte Chamber reported the creation of 6,106 jobs in the Charlotte area over the past 12 months.

Getzner is leasing 1,000 square feet for sales and distribution and is considering a move to a larger facility in the future as business in the U.S. grows.
