Arizona Healthy Food Chain Coming to Charlotte

Grabbagreen, the fast-casual concept known for it's fresh and healthy alternative to fast food, announced a five-store agreement in North Carolina with Jeff and Nancy Adams of JNZR Enterprises LLC. The Adams plan to have two Grabbagreen locations open in Charlotte, North Carolina, by the end of the year.


Ensemble Health Partners Expanding

Ensemble Health Partners, headquartered in Huntersville, is expanding into 30,000 square feet, at 13620 Reese Blvd East, Suite 200 in The Park Huntersville, to accommodate their rapid growth. The company plans to create 120 jobs immediately with continued growth in the coming years. The 120 employees hired will begin work this summer. New employees will undergo a rigorous training program to become certified revenue cycle representatives, a certification provided by the Healthcare Financial Management Association.


Charlotte Region Delegation Travels to Hannover Messe

The Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, the Charlotte Regional Partnership and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina will lead a delegation of more than 20 people representing private companies and public sector organizations to Hannover Messe 2016 in Hannover, Germany April 25-29. The Hannover Fair is the world’s largest industrial trade fair with more than 6,500 exhibitors and 200,000 visitors. This year, for the first time in history, the United States is the partner country and there will be a large effort to recruit foreign-based businesses to the United States. President Barack Obama, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, United States Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx and United States Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker are scheduled to attend.

Republic Services to Open Customer Service Center

Governor Pat McCrory, North Carolina Commerce Secretary John E. Skvarla III, and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) announced today that Republic Services will open a full-service customer service center in Charlotte, creating more than 350 new jobs and investing $6.8 million over the next three years. Currently headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, Republic Services is an industry leader in the domestic non-hazardous solid waste industry, as well as a Fortune 500 company, publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: RSG). The company has leased 82,375 square feet at 10815 David Taylor Drive.


IT Staffing Firm New to Charlotte is Taking Over the Queen City

Optomi, LLC an innovative IT staffing company out of Atlanta, opened their seventh office in Charlotte this past fall and is forecasting growth of three employees to more than 20 in the next two years. Currently located at 401 North Tryon Street, Suite 1034, Optomi plans to permanently locate in Uptown or South End by the end of first quarter 2016.


Red Ventures to Add 500 New Jobs in Mecklenburg County

North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory, North Carolina Commerce Secretary John E. Skvarla III and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) announced today that Red Ventures will expand its Mecklenburg County operations by adding 500 new jobs over the next five years. Red Ventures, a marketing and sales company, opened its first location in University City in 2013. This announcement will bring the company’s employment in Charlotte to more than 1,000 workers.
